Abington Heights, which went unbeaten in District 2 while winning district Class 3A and Lackawanna League titles a year ago, is again off to a perfect start in boys tennis.
The Comets were 3-0 through April 1 with 5-0 victory over Mid Valley and Honesdale after a 4-1 win over Delaware Valley in the season opener.
Abington Heights matches Scranton and Valley View for the best records in the league and district.
Scranton Prep won its first two matches by 5-0 scores over West Scranton and Dunmore.
The boys tennis team tournament will be the first district competition of the spring.
A preliminary round, if more than eight teams finish with .500 or better records in a classification, would be played April 26. The quarterfinals are set for April 29 on the home court of the higher seed.
The semifinals and finals will be played at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre May 1.
