Lukas Cokely went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs May 21 as Montrose eliminated Lackawanna Trail from the District 2 Class 2A baseball playoffs with an 11-6, home-field victory in the quarterfinals.
Andrew Dovin doubled, singled, scored three runs and drove in two for the Meteors.
Lackawanna Trail took a 6-2 lead after 3½ innings, but Montrose scored two runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and five in the sixth.
Isaac Ryon had a hit and drove in two runs for the Lions. Gavin June doubled and scored.
Lackawana Trail gave up 46 runs while losing its last four games to finish the season 6-11.
The Lions finished in a three-way tie for fourth in Division 3 of the Lackawanna League with a 6-8 record.
Max Kimmel led the Lions with a .333 batting average. June, who shared the team RBI lead of 11 with Luke Leventhall, and Ryon also finished above .300.
