SCRANTON – Abington Heights swept all three relays and scored points in 12 of 15 individual events May 7 while running away with the girls title of the Robert Spagna Lackawanna Track Conference Championships at Memorial Stadium.

The Comets outscored LTC Division 2 champion Wallenpaupack 164½-72 to take the Class 3A girls championship.

Anna Pucilowski, Madison Zalewski and Tomara Seid won individual titles.

Pucilowski won the 3200 in 11:10.11 and finished second in 1600. Zalewski won the high jump by clearing 5-2 and placed third in the javelin. Seid won the triple jump with 36-9½ and was fifth in both the long jump and pole vault.

Emma Horsley, Reese Morgan and Marygrace Sabatini were second, third and fourth in the 800.

Lilia Calvert and Maggie Coleman were second and third in the 200. Calvert was fourth and Coleman eighth in the 100.

Emily Dennis placed third in the high jump and triple jump while Gianna Julian was third in the discus.

Amelia Gonzalez was fourth and Julia Schuster seventh in the 300 hurdles. Schuster was fourth in the long jump.

Sarah Cantner took fifth in the shot put.

Kiana Seid was sixth in the triple jump and seventh in the pole vault.

Sophia Policare (high jump), Calli Gilboy (1600) and Hailey Hirtz (3200) added seventh-place finishes.

Jordan Relays

Abington Heights won the 1600 and 3200 relays and added second- and third-place finishes in the sprint medleys on the way to the title in the Jordan Relays a week earlier.

The Comets scored in five of six events to defeat Wallenpaupack 46-33 for the Class 3A team title.
