Abington Heights senior Jake Lenahan was named to the second team in Class 5A on the inaugural all-state team selected by the Pennsylvania Baseball Coaches Association and announced July 1.

Lenahan went 10-0 on the season with only two pitchers in the state winning more games among those who report their statistics on the website maxpreps.com.

The Holy Cross commit helped lead the Comets to a Lackawanna League Division 1 title with his contributions on the mound and at the plate. Lenahan led the offense in on-base percentage and slugging percentage.

On the mound, the 6-foot-1 right hander had his best high school season.

Lenahan produced a 1.15 earned run average while striking out 67 and allowing just 25 hits and 17 walks in 54 2/3 innings. He did not allow more than five hits in any of his nine starts and 11 total appearances.

For his career, Lenahan was 13-1 with two saves and a 1.75 ERA. He struck out 135 and walked 35 in 115 1/3 innings.

Lenahan also batted .314 as a junior and .383 in his senior season.
