Abington not only went unbeaten, but also was unscored upon while capturing the District 17 9-11-year-old Little League Baseball championship.

Abington won the three-team division by outscoring its opponents 49-0.

The title advanced Abington to the Section 5 Tournament.

Dylan Lee struck out 13 in a three-hit shutout as Abington won the June 29 championship game.

Max Vazquez and Oliver Girioux each had two of the team’s 10 hits. Giroux and Penn Eckenrode had triples while Patrick Keeler had a double.

Abington produced 15 hits and played error-free defense in the June 25 rout.

Eckenrode hit his first career grand slam while Patrick Keeler and Vazquez, the winning pitcher, had doubles.

Abington scored 12 runs in the third inning to roll to victory in the June 23 tournament opener.

Vazquez had two hits and three RBI during the big inning. He finished with four RBI.

Eckenrode doubled in two runs and Keeler singled in two during the third.

Eckenrode struck out six without issuing a walk in three scoreless innings.
