Scranton Prep opened the wrestling season at home Dec. 2 when it dropped a non-league match to Valley View 54-15.
Luke Diegnan gave the Cavaliers their only lead in the opening bout when he posted a 10-3 decision over Michael Figueroa at 127 pounds.
Cooper Rusak had a pin at 152 pounds, then Jack Doughton produced the highlight of the night for Scranton Prep with a first-period pin at 172 pounds to cut the deficit to 21-15.
Abington Heights is scheduled to open its season Dec. 6 and Lackawanna Trail Dec. 7, both on the road in tournament action.
