Lackawanna Trail returns its entire lineup, setting up the Lions to pursue another boys basketball breakthrough after struggling in recent years.

The Lions broke a 51-game losing streak early last season and won twice in five days, but were unable to pick up another win after the holidays. They enter this season seeking to end a 39-game skid in Lackawanna League play since beating Susquehanna 69-61 in a Division 4 overtime game Feb. 16, 2021.

Jake Antolick leads the returnees after the 5-foot-10 guard/forward averaged more than 15 points last season.

Seniors Lorenzo Domiano and Sean Langley, junior Ethan Gorton and sophomore Jimmy Phillips also return to the starting lineup.

Sophomore Ashton Thiel leads a group of other players with experience. Seniors Alec Genell, Noah Genell and Aidan Megivern are among the others who are back.

Freshman Lucas Filipek, a 6-4 center, made his way into the rotation for the season opener.
