Scranton Prep’s Lukas Iannone was the most dominant Class 2A boy during the District 2 Swimming Championships Feb. 28 and March 1 at Wilkes-Barre Area.
Iannone won the 200-yard individual medley by 14.95 seconds when he finished in 1:55.23. He won the 100 breaststroke by more than seven seconds in 58.43 seconds and was part of a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay.
Ben Kessler won the 200 freestyle in 1:47.87 and 100 backstroke in 54.96 seconds, along with also swimming on the medley relay team.
Mike DeVitto and Ryan Walsh joined Kessler and Iannone on the medley relay team.
Tunkhannock won the Class 2A boys title with 369½ points. Lake-Lehman was a distant second with 201. The Cavaliers were third out of 13 teams with 142.
