Abington Heights won its first five games of the season by nine goals or more to help the Lady Comets enter April as the co-leader of Wyoming Valley Conference girls lacrosse.

The Lady Comets finished the month 3-0 in the WVC and 5-0 overall with a combined winning margin of 68-9.

After beating Parkland 15-2 in the opener, Abington Heights got through its closest game, beating Scranton Prep 11-2 in the first WVC game. Scranton Prep ended March with a 1-2 record.

Allie Rothenberger, who is committed to play on the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level at La Salle College in Philadelphia, scored her 100th career goal March 25 in a 13-2 win over visiting Delaware Valley.

Rothenberger followed up the milestone with five goals to lead a 14-3 win over Wyoming Area, then the Lady Comets closed the month with a 15-0 shutout of Lewisburg.
