Abington Heights senior Anna Pucilowski was named Girls Runner of the Year when Lackawanna League cross country coaches selected their all-star teams.

Juniors Calli Gilboy and Marly Gilboy joined Pucilowski on the first team after leading the Lady Comets to another unbeaten league season.

Juniors Morgan Kresge and Kenadi Lotz and freshman Julia Healey were named to the second team.

Lackawanna Trail senior Avery Ronchi was a first-team choice for the boys team.

Abington Heights seniors Timothy Fogley and Jack Shoemaker and Scranton Prep senior Vincent O’Malley made the second team.

Elk Lake’s Kendel Jones was named Runner of the Year.

Football

Lackawanna Trail senior running back/defensive back/kicker Isaac Ryon was named Lackawanna Football Conference Division 3 Most Valuable Player by NEPAFootball.com.

Lucas Evans was named Lineman of the Year and Steve Jervis Coach of the Year.

Ryon, Evans, Kaylix Douglas, Tyler Jervis and Colin Owens were two-way, first-team selections on the website’s all-star team. Douglas, a junior, was picked at tight end and defensive line. Jervis, who was chosen as an offensive athlete, and Owens, who made it as an offensive lineman, were both picked as linebackers.

Junior lineman Tony Paolucci and sophomore fullback Carter Edwards also represented the Lions on the first-team offense. Lineman Blake Stage and back Sean Dwyer made the first-team defense.

Stage received honorable mention on offense and Paolucci was mentioned on defense.

Junior offensive lineman Cooper Castellano also received honorable mention.

Riverside’s Brayden Rose and Tavian Branch were selected Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year.
