Keystone College ended March on a four-game winning streak, improving its baseball record to 10-7 overall.
The Giants opened the United East Conference season March 29 at home with a sweep of Notre Dame of Maryland, 14-8 and 10-0 in a pair of eight-inning games.
Emilio Portes hit a three-run homer in the nightcap and added a triple and fourth run batted in.
Cooper Ryan and Leam Powell combined on a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Ryan struck out seven without walking a batter in six innings. Powell pitched two hitless innings.
Dante Ruby leads the offense with a .481 batting average and 19 RBI.
Dillion Bird has driven in a team-high 25 runs in 16 games.
Softball
Keystone dropped its first two United East games, losing at Notre Dame of Maryland 5-1 and 13-10 in a March 29 doubleheader.
The Giants are 2-8 overall.
Emily Schultz has a team-high .438 average. Isabella Benitez is batting .400 and leads the team with 10 runs. Clara Sandly leads in RBI with 12.
Track and field
Keystone competed in two events in March, the second of which was the Jim Taylor Duals at Susquehanna University, March 27-28.
Ahmodrion Jones had the top finish, taking seventh in the men’s triple jump.
