Abington Heights will be the site of the first Pennsylvania track and field event combining varsity boys and girls meets with a Unified Champion School meet.
The school will host the event on April 14, beginning at 4 p.m.
Abington Heights, which has not lost a girls dual meet in 20 years, will face Scranton Prep in Lackawanna Track Conference Division 1 boys and girls meets.
The Abington Heights UCS team will host Wallenpaupack and Lakeland in a Special Olympics Pennsylvania Northeast Region Lackawanna Section tri-meet.
Wallenpaupack finished second in the state UCS track meet last season at Shippensburg University, when Abington Heights was also one of nine teams to qualify, finishing seventh.

Abington Heights won two of three matches in a regional championship event at Penn State Schuylkill, where the Comets needed to go 3-0 in order to reach the state championships in Hershey.
The Comets lost their first match, then won the next two to finish fifth out of eight teams from the Northeast and Greater Lehigh Valley/Pocono Regions.
