Noah Gesford struck out 12 in a four-hitter and supplied a double and single to the offense July 2 when Black Walnut Post 510 ended the Abington season with a 7-2 victory in the District 11 Senior American Legion Baseball playoffs.
Gesford did not walk a batter while leading the way for the team from Springville and Laceyville.
Owen Phillips had a hit, run and RBI to lead Abington. Maddox Weinberger had a hit and an RBI, while Jack Nalevanko had a hit and scored a run. Liam Moran had the other hit.
Abington went 5-8 to finish fifth in the eight-team league in the regular season.
