Milana Straub was introduced in July as the latest head men’s and women’s cross country coach at Keystone College.
Straub is coming off a successful college athletic career at Marywood University.
“Having competed in field hockey, cross country and track while earning numerous academic honors, she understands firsthand what it means to be a true student-athlete,” Keystone director of athletics Kacy Manning said, according to a story on the school’s athletic website.
Straub set seven individual school records as a distance runner, set conference records and qualified as an individual for the NCAA Championships. She was the 2024 Atlantic East Conference Track Runner of the Year.
Before returning to Marywood, Straub also competed on the NCAA Division I level at Kent State University.
Straub was captain of Marywood’s championship field hockey team.
Football
Keystone is scheduled to open its football season Sept. 4 at home at 6:30 p.m. against Alvernia University.
The Giants will face three teams that made the NCAA Division III playoffs in 2025, starting with a game at Washington & Jefferson College Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.
They also play at Southern Virginia University Sept. 19 and in Texas on Oct. 3 against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The rest of the schedule is: Sept. 26, Wisconsin-Whitewater; Oct. 17, Newport News Apprentice School; Oct. 24, Milford Academy; Oct. 31, Monroe University; Nov. 7, Gallaudet University; and Nov. 14, at Monroe University.
