Wappingers Falls, NY — Abington Heights senior Katie Dammer placed third out of 227 high school runners from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont in the Nike Cross Northeast Regional Girls Championship Nov. 25 in Bowdoin Park.
Dammer’s time was 18:36.1.
By placing in the top five, Dammer qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals Dec. 2 at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon. The girls championship race will be held at 2:35 p.m. EST. A live webcast will be available at nikecrossnationals.com.
Foot Locker Regionals
Abington Heights senior Kyle Burke placed 56th out of 179 high school runners from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington D.C. in the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Boys Championship Nov. 25 in Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, New York.
Burke’s time was 16:51.8.
The top 10 boys and girls finishers qualified for Foot Locker Nationals Dec. 9 at Balboa Park in San Diego, California.
