HAWLEY — Abington Heights placed sixth and Lackawanna Trail 11th out of 14 teams in the Lackawanna League Wrestling Tournament Dec. 16 at Wallenpaupack High School.

Abington Heights’ Brandon Grogan won a 6-0 decision over West Scranton’s Austin Fashouer to place first in the 106-pound weight class.

Abington Heights’ James Brown won a 10-4 decision over Montrose’s Chuck Rohan to place third in the 138-pound weight class and Sam Northup pinned Delaware Valley’s Shawn Davis, in 3:29, to place third in the 160-pound weight class.

Abington Heights’ Christopher Langan lost to Honesdale’s Michael O’Day by injury default and placed fourth in the 170-pound weight class, Tre Kerrigan dropped a 7-3 decision to West Scranton’s Noah Worsnick and finished fourth in the 220-pound weight class, and R.J. Knott fell to Elk Lake’s Jerry Fassett by a 10-8 sudden victory to place fourth.

Abington Heights’ Ty Wilmot won a 9-7 decision over Honesdale’s Peter West to place fifth in the 120-pound weight class. Jacob Rosenstein was pinned by Honesdale’s Joe Rutledge in 1:43 and finished sixth.

Lackawanna Trail’s Dalton Klinges won a 4-0 decision over Blue Ridge’s Nate Barton to place fifth in the 138-pound weight class and Owen Hivner pinned Montrose’s Bryan Ryan, in 4:35, to finish fifth in the 182-pound weight class. Cullen Ratchford was pinned by Western Wayne’s Mitchell Herzog, in 3:02, and finished sixth in the 132-pound weight class.
