Abington Heights defeated Delaware Valley, 61-38, in a Lackawanna League Division 1-2 crossover game Jan. 6. Jackson Danzig led the Comets with 26 points. Mike Malone had seven rebounds and Corey Perkins added three assists.
Lady Eagles top Lady Lions
Mountain View defeated Lackawanna Trail, 56-47, in a Lackawanna League Division 4 game Jan. 8. Lexie Kwiatkowski paced the Lady Lions with 15 points and Allison Decker added 10 for Trail.
Lady Comets hold off Lady Warriors

Hannah Kowalski scored 16 points to lead Abington Heights over Valley View, 48-27, in a Lackawanna League Division 1 game Jan. 2. Erin Albright scored 11 points and Cassie Ksiazek added 10 for the Lady Comets.
Comets beat Buckhorns
Abington Heights defeated Wallenpaupack, 96-72, in a Lackawanna League meet Jan. 2. The Comets 200 medley relay team of John Frantz, Jarred Ocwieja, Jack Wasko and Cohen Hodge placed second and the team of John Graham, Adam Vale, William Tung and Sam Remus was third. Jarred Ocwieja placed first in the 200 freestyle, Frantz finished first and Vale third in the 200 individual medley, Brandon Beck placed second and Wasko was third in the 50 freestyle, Hodge was second and Wasko third in the 100 butterfly, Jarred Ocwieja placed first in the 100 freestyle, Frantz finished first and Graham second in the 500 freestyle, the team of Hodge, Beck, Remus and Brandon Kelleher placed second in the 200 free relay, Graham was first and Beck second in the 100 backstroke, Connor Ocwieja placed second and Vale third in the 100 breaststroke, the team of Jarred Ocwieja, Wasko, Beck and Frantz was first in the 400 free relay and Kelleher, Graham, Tung and Vale were second.

Wallenpaupack defeated Abington Heights, 92-84, in a Lackawanna League meet Jan. 2. The team of Sarah Bath, Abby Brock, Lauren Schofield and April Sokalsky placed first in the 200 medley relay and the team of Lucy Earl, Samantha Wilkerson, Rachel Lorah and CC Donahoe was third for the Lady Comets. Sokalsky placed first in the 200 freestyle, Schofield was first in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, Brock finished first and Brock third in the 50 freestyle, Camille Marquardt placed first in one-meter diving competition, Bath was second in the 100 freestyle, Kyra Sladicki placed third in the 500 freestyle, the team of Elizabeth Rembecki, Donahoe, Lorah and Sladicki was second in the 200 freestyle relay, Sokalsky finished second and Earl third in the 100 backstroke, Brock placed second and Wilkerson third in the 100 breaststroke, and the team of Sokalsky, Brock, Bath and Schofield was first in the 400 freestyle relay.

West Scranton defeated Abington Heights, 39-29, in a Lackawanna League meet Jan. 3. Ty Wilmot (120 lbs.), Christopher Langan (170) and R.J. Knott (285) won by pinfall for the Comets. Brandon Grogan (106) and Jacob Rosenstein (145) won by decision, and James Brown (138) won by technical fall.

Lackawanna Trail defeated Mountain View, 33-27, in a Lackawanna League Division 2 meet Jan. 3. David Klinges (170 lbs.) won by pinfall for the Lions. Cody Moyle won a 5-4 decision; and Koyotie Vilchock (126), Owen Hivner (182), Carter Crook (195) and Jacob Wescott (220) won by forfeit.
