FACTORYVILLE — Members of the Clinton Township-Factoryville Borough Joint Municipal Park Board will host a double elimination Cornhole Tournament at 1 p.m. July 8 at the park on Creek Road.
The cost to participate is $50 per team and prizes will be presented to the first and second place teams ($200 and $100).
Proceeds will benefit the Clinton Township-Factoryville Joint Municipal Park.
The park is used by multiple municipalities from both Wyoming and Lackawanna Counties. The park is home to the Trail Soccer League, has multiple playgrounds and an active dog park.
“We’re trying to raise money to apply for grant match funds,” park board member Erin Jones said. “(Cornhole) is a popular, fun thing to do.

The event will also feature two basket raffles: a basket of cheer for adults and tickets to Montage Mountain Water Park for kids.
A chicken barbecue will be held in conjunction with the event. Tickets are available pre-sale only for $10 by contacting Jones.
