Members of the Lackawanna Trail High School wrestling team attended Keith Gavin’s Wrestling Camp at the University of Pittsburgh. Gavin is the head coach at Pittsburgh, his alma mater, where he placed second in national championships in his junior year and won the title in the 174-pound weight class as a senior. Gavin wrestled for Lackawanna Trail and placed seventh in 2002 and third in 2003 at the PIAA State Championships. Gavin was runner-up in his weight class at the 2010 and 2014 U.S. World Team Trials and in 2011 in qualifying for the Pan-American Games. He competed with the U.S. National team, winning national freestyle titles in 2013 and 2014 and placing third at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.
