AH’s Sebastianelli finishes 25th

Abington Heights senior Nick Sebastianelli placed 25th in the PIAA Class 3A State Golf Championship Oct. 22-23 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York. Sebastianelli, who made five birdies between his two rounds, shot 79 in the first round and 83 in the second to finish 12-over par for the championship.

FIELD HOCKEY

Rangers eliminate Lions

Northwest defeated Lackawanna Trail, 6-3, in a District 2 Class A quarterfinal game Oct. 23. Jordan Spencer, Belle Coleman and Liz Litwin scored goals for Trail. Sam Baltrusaitis had two assists and Bella Jagoe had the other. Lilly Rejrat made five saves.

Lady Comets blank Lady Lions

Abington Heights defeated Lackawanna Trail, 3-0 (27-25, 25-19, 25-15), in a Lackawanna League match Oct. 23. Adele Hollander led Abington with seven digs. Gianna Toth had nine assists, Elif Onat had six kills and Kaelee Whipple had three aces for the Lady Comets. Ashtyn Mecca had 11 points, Abby Wilson had 10 assists, and Katelin Walton had 11 digs for the Lady Lions.
