LA PLUME — Keystone College is adding a versatile runner to its women’s track and field and cross country programs.

Recent Blue Ridge graduate Karris Fazzi, who qualified to compete in Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship events as a distance runner, sprinter and hurdler, has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers with the Giants.

Fazzi was responsible for all the points scored by the Blue Ridge girls at this season’s District 2 Class 2A Championships and Robert Spagna Lackawanna Track Conference Championships. She finished second in the district in the 100-meter hurdles to reach the state meet and scored in all four of her events with fifth-place medals in the 400 dash and 800 run and a seventh-place finish in the long jump.

In cross country, Fazzi qualified for the state meet as a freshman and was a four-time district medalist.

Fazzi also qualified for the state track meet as a freshman when she was a member of the 1600 relay team.
