March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. Snow has been melting, and signs of spring are slowly peeking out from beneath winter’s snowy blanket. This month, we turn our clocks forward an hour for Daylight Saving Time, and hopefully, by the end of the month, we will have brighter, sunnier days.

As we get into March, the Dalton Community Library will continue offering curbside pick up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, the hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number for our library is 570-563-2014. Call us when you arrive for your books, and we’ll meet you at the library service window. Please check out the Dalton Community Library Facebook page for more information during the month, or you can check out our website at www.lclshome.org/b/dalton-community-library/.

Thank you to all patrons who read during January and February for the county’s Winter Reading Challenge. We hope everyone enjoyed the virtual challenges and kept busy reading. Since March 21 is World Poetry Day, it’s the perfect time to enjoy some poetry! There are so many poetry styles and authors to choose from that you’re bound to find something to enjoy. If you’re new to poetry, consider checking out some of the classics like Walt Whitman, Langston Hughes, Robert Frost or Maya Angelou. For children, Shel Silverstein is a must-read!

And now, on to the first day of Spring! Enjoy!
