Anna Pucilowski finished third and the Abington Heights girls were second out of 13 teams in the George School Invitational Sept. 14 in Newtown.
Penn Charter won with 32 points. Abington Heights had a score of 78, 19 in front of third-place Episcopal Academy.
Pucilowski finished in 18:12.20, behind only Mackenzie Skelly from Penn Charter and Kendra Williamson from Episcopal Academy, who ran away from the rest of the field.
Marley Gilboy from Abington Heights was 14th out of 120 in 19:45.10.
Morgan Kresge was 16th in 20:01.60.
Calli Gilboy finished 21st, Kenadi Lotz 24th and Julia Healey 26th.
Abington Heights finished seventh out of 14 boys’ teams.
Timothy Fogley was 15th and Jack Shoemaker 18th out of 123 to lead the Comets.
Lackawanna County Commissioners
Abington Heights entered part of its team in the Lackawanna County Commissioners Invitational Sept. 6 at McDade Park in Scranton and finished fourth out of nine in the varsity girls’ standings.
Healey finished sixth out of 94 in the varsity girls race in 19:07.1.
