Greetings from Dalton Community Library to welcome in the New Year!
All of us at the library hope you had an enjoyable holiday and time to visit with family and friends. Hopefully, this will be a year to start a hobby, complete a goal you have been working on or just to try something completely new.
There is nothing better than sitting in a cozy spot hunkered down with a good book on a cold winter’s afternoon or evening.
Beginning Jan. 1, our library hours in 2023 are expanding to offer evening programs such as chess and table tennis, besides the afternoon Kids Time. Dalton Community Library hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. We will open be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Please check out monthly display for January which showcases our large collection of mysteries for Juvenile, young adult and adults. It’s the suspense and delight of mysteries and thrillers that engage and challenge our intellect through clues.
Our bridge group will be meeting again weekly this year every Tuesday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Experienced and new players are encouraged to join us. Anyone interested is more than welcome.
Saturday Spotlight will have it’s first book discussion of 2023 on Jan. 28 from10:30 to noon. We will be shining the spotlight on “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus.
If you are doing any sorting this winter, keep in mind that we are still taking in donations for our Spring Book and Bake Sale. It is currently planned for the third week of April. Any donations you may have are greatly appreciated.
Our board and staff are very thankful for the patrons and visitors that spend time in our library. Please stop into Dalton Community Library and check our great collection of books and other media for Juvenile, young adult and adult.
Looking forward to seeing you in 2023.
