Abington Heights wide receiver Shawn Theodore and Scranton Prep quarterback Louis Paris were among the 55 players listed as finalists in consideration for the Pennsylvania Player of the Year award, selected by the Maxwell Football Club.
Theodore and Paris are on the list of Mini Max Awards, which recognize outstanding athletic achievement and sportsmanship in high school football.
Both players were prominent in their teams winning District 2 titles.
They were among five nominees from the district. The others were Honesdale’s Mason Avery, Riverside’s Richie Kostoff and Wyoming Area’s Lidge Kellum.
