You can enjoy dinner and then paint during Nibble and Paint nights.

“During COVID, I started taking some online painting classes. I really enjoyed it, and it was years since I painted. I put some of my artwork at the Glenburn Grill and did several commissioned pet paintings for customers. After a while, I joined a group that teaches and supports artists with paint nights. I’ve learned so much,” said Mary Wood, instructor of Paint Night.

The very first Nibble and Paint at the Glenburn Grill was in November of 2020 for mostly friends and family. There is now a paint night at Glenburn Grill monthly.

People can order food through a feature menu at the Glenburn Grill starting at 5 p.m. The menu includes a main dish, a side, dessert and a soft drink. It is BYOB. Painting starts at 6:30 p.m.

“It is a fun night where people gather. It is a way to be out in the community. Sometimes I paint and my granddaughters also paint,” said Linda Norsen, owner of Glenburn Grill.

The cost to paint is $35 for a canvas design, $39 for wood and porch learners are $45.

All materials and instruction are included.

People attending the event can choose to paint three seasonal designs.

“I also do private events at people’s homes or local venues for birthday parties, showers and get-togethers. Fundraisers are coming up for Dalton Fire Company Auxiliary on Oct. 20 and Clarks Summit Fire Department Auxiliary will have a fall paint night fundraiser,” said Mary Wood.

She also has paint nights at Abide Coffeehouse in Wilkes Barre on the 4th Tuesday of every month along with other pubs and restaurants.

“It is a social event and not a class. I help as much as they want or as little. I love that when people leave, they have something they are proud of. So many come in and say I don’t even know why I’m here, I’m not talented at all. When they leave, they say I can’t believe how good this turned out. I am always looking for new venues. We bring business in on slow nights,” said Mary Wood.

The next paint night at the Glenburn Grill is August 12th.
