Idec, Wetzel named to dean’s list

CANTON, NY — Eli H. Idec of Tunkhannock, a member of the Class of 2022, has been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the fall 2018 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Grace M. Wetzel of Factoryville. Wetzel is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in psychology. Wetzel attended Lackawanna Trail High School.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Three named to dean’s list

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Three Abington-area students have qualified for the fall 2018 Dean’s list. They are Eric Brickel, of South Abingtn Twp.; Alec D’Elia, of Clarks Summit; and Alexandra Maddock, of Clarks Summit.

USciences students named to dean’s list

PHILADELPHIA — Three Abington-area students have been named to the fall 2018 dean’s list at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a “C” and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall of 2018.

Sahas Chandragiri, of Waverly Township, is a Biomedical Sciences student.

Samantha Frear, of Factoryville, is a Doctor of Pharmacy student.

Kiera Lucash, of South Abington Township, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy student.

Two named to dean’s list

ELIZABETHTOWN — Allison Melnikoff, of Dalton, and Melissa Spencer, of South Abington Township, have been named to the dean’s list at Elizabethtown College for the fall 2018 semeseter.

Melnikoff, Class of 2022, is a political science major while Spencer, Class of 2019, is an English – professional writing major.

Durr receives Dean’s Award

HAMILTON, NY — Gabrielle Durr, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2019, has earned the fall 2018 Dean’s Award with Distinction.

Durr, of Clarks Summit, is a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and is currently majoring is English.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the fall 2018 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.
