Stone House Investment Management comes to Clarks Summit
CLARKS SUMMIT — An open house and ribbon cutting ceremony took place for Stone House Investment Management at its new location at 103 W. Grove St., on Friday, Jan. 24. Members of the Scranton Chamber of Commerce attended the event mingling with Stone House’s members who will work at the Clarks Summit location.
Stone House is an independently-owned and locally-grown financial investment firm. It has four financial office locations and three sister tax office locations in Northeast Pennsylvania including Tunkhannock, Towanda and Sayre. This is the first location in Clarks Summit. Financial advisors Mike Crovath and Ryan Vassil, who will both work in the new location, provide guidance on those looking for advice on retirement planning, private wealth management, and estate planning.
“If someone’s younger and building their career, we help them how to invest and where to invest,” said Vassil. “Basically, we help them build wealth and save money for the future,” said Vassil. “At the later end of their career, we help them plan retirement whether it’s a year away or five years out. We can get the process started. We help with all facets of life, not just investing.”
Stone House currently has clients in Tunkhannock but is currently accepting clients in the Clarks Summit area and looking to get more.
“The culture is awesome here,” said Crovath about working in Clarks Summit. “The training program is great.”
“We’re independently owned,” Vassil added. “We don’t have a bigger bank or bigger company that tells us what to do. We can help our clients do what is right by them.”
What makes Stone House different from other investment companies is that they developed a well-rounded system called LifeSTACK. It considers topics in tax planning, real estate planning, assessing financial assets and debts, insurance policies, and understanding social security.
The company was founded by Robert Brown CFP and Raymond “Scott” Stone in 2004 taking the name of its original office building — a historic stone house in Montrose.
“We really love what we do,” said Stone. “We like the people we work with — the employees, the clients. It’s a really warm inviting place to work and that’s what we focus on, trying to build great interpersonal experiences with our coworkers and employees.”
