Christy Mathewson went 2-1 on both the Major and 8-10-year-old levels to finish second in its pools and advance to four-team, double-elimination bracket play in District 32 Little League Baseball.
The Major team was 2-1 in Pool B.
Christy Mathewson shut out Wallenpaupack 15-0 and North Scranton/East Scranton 5-0 June 24 and 27. It lost to Carbondale/Archbald 13-4 June 28.
The 8-10-year-old team was in Pool A.
Christy Mathewson defeated Mid Valley 6-2 and Wayne Highlands 17-2 June 25 and 27. Green Ridge defeated Christy Mathewson 11-1 June 29.
